Executive Team

Senaat’s executive team comprises highly experienced professionals from the industrial sector and other related sectors. The team is  mainly of UAE Nationals and has the expertise required to drive the company’s day-to-day operations and deliver its growth strategy while continually exploring new investment opportunities. The executive management team at Senaat also provides effective direction to the portfolio companies and supports them in improving their financial performance.

Eng. Jamal Salem Al Dhaheri  

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Eng. Jamal Al Dhaheri is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Senaat, one of the UAE’s largest industrial investment holding companies.

Al Dhaheri has over 25 years of experience that saw him serve in key management positions within Abu Dhabi’s largest industrial entities; these include Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Company (ADWEA) and Union Water and Electricity (UWEC). His role in Senaat started with Abu Dhabi Basic Industries Corporation (ADBIC), where he grew up the ranks from Vice President (VP) of Aluminium, to CEO of the company, prior to its merger with GHC to form Senaat.

Al Dhaheri is also Chairman of Arkan and Ducab and member on the boards of Emirates Steel and the Abu Dhabi Distribution Company.

Al Dhaheri  holds a B.Sc. in Science Engineering Management from the University of the Pacific in the US and an Executive MBA from Zayed University.

Mr. Mabkhoot Al Menhali

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Mr Mabkhoot Al Menhali is the Chief Financial Officer of Senaat. In his current role, Mr Al Menhali is responsible for overseeing financial planning and execution across the organisation.

He joined Senaat in 2017, and brings 25 years of experience to the group in financial management, corporate and project finance and cost controls, specifically in the oil and gas and EPC industries.

Previously, he was the Chief Financial Officer of subsidiary National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), a leading oil and gas services company based in Abu Dhabi.

Mr Al Menhali started his career with Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd. (GASCO) the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) subsidiary before moving to NPCC in 1998.

He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Mahmood Al Hay Al Hameli

Senior Vice President - Business Support

Mahmood Al Hay Al Hameli is the Senior Vice President of Business Support at General Holding Company (SENAAT).

With nearly two decades of experience, Mr. Al Hameli overseas Administrative and Business Support Services at SENAAT, actively involved in developing Human Capital Strategies to further the UAE’s industrial sector growth.

Prior to joining SENAAT, Mr. Al Hameli served as a Human Resource Director in Abu Dhabi Basic Industries Corporation and as a Vice President of Administration Support at Emirates Steel.

Mahmood Alhameli was appointed a Board Member in Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development in January 2019. Mr. Al Hameli is also a Board Member in Al Foah, one of SENAAT’s subsidiaries since 2015. He is also a member of the Human Capital Committees in Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) & Nawah Energy Company.

Mr. Al Hameli earned a Master in Strategic and Security Studies from National Defence College in 2018. He has a B.Sc. degree in Computer Information System from American University in Washington D.C, in addition to few other Executive Leadership Programs Like IMD Business School in Switzerland, Ashridge Business School in the United Kingdom and INSEAD Business School in France.

Mr. Rashed Abdul Aziz Hadif Al Shamsi

Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Communications

Rashed Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi is the Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Communications at the General Holding Company (SENAAT). With his immense experience of over 15 years in business, Mr. Al Shamsi spearheads a cohesive marketing communications strategy at the company.

Mr. Al Shamsi joined the company in 2009 as the Vice President of Investor Relations. As part of this role, Mr. Al Shamsi was responsible for implementing SENAAT’s corporate investor relations programme while maintaining relationships with the key shareholders.

Mr. Al Shamsi has also been a Board Member of Al Foah, one of SENAAT’s subsidiaries, since 2015 and is a member of the Remuneration Committee of Al Foah.  

Prior to joining SENAAT, Mr. Al Shamsi spent eight years in managerial positions at the telecommunications conglomerate Etisalat, where he was running  marketing and sales operations.

 Mr. Al Shamsi has a BA in Management and Human Resources and a Masters Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Marketing Communications from California State University in San Bernadino, USA.

 

Mr. Ali Al-Gizawi

General Counsel and Board Secretary

Mr. Ali Al-Gizawi is the General Counsel and Board Secretary of SENAAT since 2012. With over 15 years of experience in legal and transactional work, Mr. Al-Gizawi heads the legal and compliance function at SENAAT.

Prior to joining SENAAT, Mr. Al-Gizawi held the position of ‘Senior Associate” at an international legal practice Simmons&Simmons where he advised major local and international companies and government bodies on a wide range of corporate and commercial laws, regulatory matters, M&A transactions, projects development, capital raising and corporate governance.

Mr. Al Gizawi earned a Masters degree in International Trade Law from the University of Technology, Sydney in Australia and a Bachelors in Law from Al-Yarmouk University, Jordan (2001). He is also a member of the Jordanian Bar Association since August 2001.

Mr. Khaleefa Al Romaithi

Vice President of Government Affairs

Khaleefa Al Romaithi is the Vice President of Government Affairs at the General Holding Company (SENAAT). With more than 20 years of experience in strategy and business development, Mr. Al Romaithi directs government relations strategy and overseas operations related to effective engagement with key stakeholders.

Prior to joining SENAAT, Mr. Al Romaithi served as an Executive Director of Strategy and Business Development unit and as a Director of Investment Services. Mr. Al Romaithi served over 15 years at Abu Dhabi Ports Authority (ADPA), where he held multiple positions in public affairs, commercial, customer service and marketing department. He played an instrumental role in setting up Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi Marine Services Company while supporting the company’s strategic goals and objectives by positively influencing external stakeholders with its value propositions.

Al Romaithi completed Bachelor of Science in International Management from U.S and holds a Master in Leadership and Management development from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Osama Alsheleh

Head of Internal Audit

Osama Alsheleh is the Head of Internal Audit of SENAAT since 2014. In his current role, Alsheleh is responsible for overseeing Internal Audit function across SENAAT in line with industry’s best practices.

Alsheleh also serves as Audit Committee member for SENAAT’s subsidiaries and “Social Care and Minor Affairs Foundation”. With over two decades of experience, Alsheleh served Abu Dhabi Government for almost 18 years: was Head of Internal Audit of Tadweer for 4 years and was acting Head of Internal Audit of Critical National Infrastructure Authority for almost 2 years; in addition, he act different roles in ADAA for almost 9 years.

Alsheleh holds a B.Sc. in Accounting from the University of Jordan and has successfully completed several qualifications including CPA, CIA, CMA, CFM and CRMA.

Eng. Ahmad El Bsat

Vice President for Strategy

Eng. Ahmad Bsat is Vice President for Strategy at SENAAT since 2008. In his current role, Eng. El Bsat brings over 24 years of experience to lead business planning strategies for SENAAT and its subsidiaries.

Eng. El Bsat is also a member of SENAAT’s Investment Committee and Leadership team, responsible for setting and executing the company’s overall investment strategy.Before joining SENAAT, Eng. El Bsat provided strategic advice and consultancy at Booz Allen Hamilton to national oil companies and investment holding companies in the GCC.

Prior to that, Eng. El Bsat executed several oil and gas projects in the GCC, Kazakhstan, and Georgia while working for Petrofac International Company and Consolidated Contractors International Company.Eng. El Bsat holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from McGill University, Canada and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with distinction from American University of Beirut.
