Senaat’s high calibre Board members combine outstanding expertise in private enterprise with excellent relationships at the highest levels of the Government of Abu Dhabi. The Board of Directors, which is appointed by and directly reports to Abu Dhabi’s Executive Council, provides long-term strategic direction ensuring that Senaat continues to be in line with Abu Dhabi’s Economic Vision 2030.

H.E. Dr. Mohamed Rashed Al Hameli

Chairman

H.E. Dr. Al Hameli has a rich experience in the field of government and management administration. He has started his professional Journey in 1996 as a Financial Analyst in ADNOC. Soon after, he progressed in various positions in different government and semi government entities; such as Senior Economic Advisor at Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development, General Manager of the Waste Management Center, Director General of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Center for Corporate Governance, Senior Projects Manager at UAE Offsets Group, Finance Director at Union Water & Electricity Company and the Chairman of Rental Dispute Committee- Abu Dhabi.

H.E. Dr. Alhameli served as the chairman of the board of Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), UAE Academy, and was a board member of: the Statistics Center- Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Airports Company, Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council, Senaat - GHC, National Health Insurance Company (Daman) and Emirates Competitiveness Council- UAE Prime Minister Office.

H.E. Dr. Alhameli received his Doctorate in the area of Management from Case Western Reserve University in USA, earned a Master of International Business (MIB) from the University of Wollongong in Dubai and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from University of Maryville (Missouri - USA).

H.E.  Alyazia Ali Al Kuwaiti

Vice Chairman

H.E. Alyazia Ali Al Kuwaiti joined the Board of Directors of Senaat in 2017. She brings a wealth of leadership and project management experience as a Board Member of Senaat. In her role as Director of Midstream and Upstream Investment at the International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC), Al Kuwaiti has played a leading role in implementing the UAE’s women empowerment strategic initiatives based on the goals set out in the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030. She was recognized for her efforts in 2013, winning the Emirates Women Award (EWA) in the Career Achievements category.

H.E. Al Kuwaiti is a Board Member of a number of organizations across the UAE. These include the Gulf Energy Maritime, Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, Securities and Commodities Authority and the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development.

Moreover, she holds a Masters in International Business from the University of Wollongong, Dubai and a BA in Accounting and Finance from the Portobello College, Dublin.

H.E. Eng. Aqeel Abdulla Madhi

Board Memeber

Engr. Aqeel A. Madhi is Vice Chairman at National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC). Engr. Madhi brings 38 Years of rich experience and excellent leadership, in managing companies and large projects in the Oil and Gas Sector. He held several senior management positions in Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Petroleum Operations (ADCO) between 1981 and 1998. For the last two decades, spanning from 1998 to 2018 he served as the CEO/MD of NPCC.

Engr. Madhi started his career in 1981 as Assistant Project Manager in ADNOC, and soon progressed to take up management position such as Manager of Gas Project Division, and Director of Engineering and Major Projects at ADCO. He was the Senior Project Manager of mega projects in ADNOC before joining NPCC in 1998.During his career with NPCC, Engr. Madhi transformed and brought the company into a prestigious international organization with more than 16,000 employees.

NPCC achieved the highest growth in its history reaching AED 6 Billion in sales in 2017. He also supervised the establishment of NPCC’s engineering subsidiaries in India and representative branches in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Engr. Madhi played a key role in the Emiratization of management and technical positions in the company.In addition, he is serving as the Chairman of Al Gharbia Pipe Company LLC-Abu Dhabi, NPCC Saudi Arabia, NPCC’s engineering subsidiaries NEL and ANEWA in India; and Board Member of Principia, France. Engr. Madhi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee USA (1981).
 

H.E.  Ali Murshed Al Marar

Board Member

H.E. Ali Murshed Al Marar joined the Board of Directors of Senaat in 2017. In addition to his board position, he is the Senior Vice President- Human Capital & Support Services in ADNOC OFFSHORE, Senior Vice President of Administration at Al Hosn Gas. He was a member of the establishment team of Abu Dhabi Gas Development Ltd, “A Limited Liability Company” (Al Hosn Gas), a JV between ADNOC and Oxy, to develop and operate the Arab A, B, C and D sour gas reservoirs.

Previously, H.E. Al Marar helped found Borouge, an Abu Dhabi-based leading provider of innovative, value creating plastic solutions. During his time at Borouge, H.E. Al Marar served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the group’s financials and playing an instrumental role in securing financing for the Borouge expansions’.

He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company.Educated in the UAE, H.E. Al Marar graduated with a BA in Accounting from the United Arab Emirates University.

H.E. Salem Sultan Al-Dhaheri

Board Member

H.E. Al-Dhaheri joined the Board of Directors of Senaat in 2017. He brings extensive experience in the fields of finance and international investment. A Certified Public Accountant, H.E. Al-Dhaheri currently serves as a Deputy Director at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, which he joined in 1993.

In addition to sitting on Senaat’s Board of Directors, H.E. Al-Dhaheri is also a Member of the Board of Directors and Member of the Audit Committees of several public and private companies in the UAE, including TAQA, Agthia, Al Hilal Bank, Etisalat, and others.

H.E. Al-Dhaheri holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Metropolitan State College in Denver. He is a member of the Illinois CPA Society, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Leadership and Management in the United Kingdom.
